Two of Ridley & Hall’s directors pounded the streets in July for two worthy children’s charities.

Sarah Young ran the Vitality British 10k in London for Caring Matters Now. Commenting Sarah said “This small charity supports children suffering with CMN – Congenital Melanocytic Naevus. This is a type of birthmark that may appear in newborn babies. My goddaughter has CMN so when her mum asked me to join her on the run I agreed. I loved running through London past many famous landmarks with not a car in sight!”

Nigel Priestley ran the Jane Tomlinson 10k in Leeds. “I ran for Little Pips. This is a vital parent support group based at the Hollybank Trust in Mirfield. Little Pips works with children aged 0-3 with additional needs. It enables the children to experience play together whist their carers talk together! Carers are able to share the ups and downs of caring for some very different needs.”

Sarah and Nigel agreed, “We may have been running at events 200 miles apart but the similarity was the great atmosphere that surrounds events like these. We had set ourselves targets on the JustGiving website and we are delighted to have hit them. And it was fun!”
