Nigel Priestley represented Sharon, the third parent, whose story is told by C4 News Special Report (see below). C4 followed up a previous report in which Mr Priestley appeared, which revealed the impact on families of misdiagnosis by experts in Care Proceedings. Sharon described how, following a seriously flawed experts report, her children were removed from her care. Her youngest child was to be adopted.

Following a difficult  and hard fought 2 year battle in court working with Nigel Priestley, her daughter was returned to her care.

Jackie Long, the Social Affairs Editor for C4 News described this result as “exceptionally rare”.

Her daughter has continued to thrive in her care.
