The team at the Adoption Legal Centre are specialists in advising both adopters and potential adopters. We can help when adopters are facing challenging problems. We advise about what they need to do and what steps they should take to obtain support and advice when they face difficult problems.
Elderflower, which launched in June 2011, is a collaborative service which provides specialist legal, financial and bereavement advice to those at or approaching retirement age. It brings together solicitors, financial advisors and bereavement counselors to offer a wide-range of services. This project, although drawing on services and expertise from across the practice, has the Private Client team at Ridley & Hall at its core.
In September 2011 the firm launched the Grandparents Legal Centre. The Centre provides specialist legal advice to grandparents who need to be represented in Court Proceedings about their grandchildren or who want to challenge a local authority for support. GLC’s three main aims are: Fighting for contact for grandparents, providing representation in Care Proceedings and supporting Kinship carers.
The Court of Protection makes decisions on behalf of people who lack the ability (mental capacity) to make decisions. The Court of Protection Legal Centre are experts in assisting people who require a decision from the court, whether it is obtaining the authority to manage a parent’s finances when they have advanced dementia or where there is a dispute between family members and the local authority as to where someone should live. These issues can be very troubling; we will listen to your problems and offer you practical guidance on how we can help.
The Cycling Legal Centre is a team of legal experts who offer specialist, down to earth advice and representation for cyclists who have suffered serious injuries as a result of an accident with a motorist or pedestrian, dangerous road surfaces or even a fault on your bike.
