Accidents in Public Places
Every year thousands of people are injured as a result of accidents in public places.
Trips and falls account for around half of these injuries.
These are often due to potholes, uneven paving slabs, poorly repaired roads and pavements or wet and slippery floor surfaces. Whether you are walking along the pavement or visiting a shop, supermarket or restaurant you have a right to expect that public places will be safe.
If you have been injured as a result of an accident in a public place contact Ridley and Hall's personal injury team to receive friendly expert advice.

We have acted for numerous clients who have been injured in public places. These clients have tripped over protruding paving stones or in holes left after street furniture has been removed. We have acted for clients who have tripped over or slipped in shops or supermarkets or where items have fallen from shelving onto them. Some of these people sustained serious injuries and received substantial damages.
-
We have acted for a person who was appearing in a dress rehearsal as the bottom half of an eight foot woman when he failed to see the edge of the theatre stage in the subdued lighting and because there was no edging to the stage. As a result he and the lady he was carrying fell into the orchestra pit and sustained several injuries.

We have acted for a lady who fell in a garden centre cafe when the chair she sat on collapsed. She sustained injuries which exacerbated her previous medical condition.
