The Licensing Act 2003 has been the most radical shake up in licensing law since the nineteenth century. It transfers power to licence from Magistrates Courts to Local Authorities. James has acquired a great deal of experience of applications under the new Act.
James is the legal adviser to the Huddersfield Club Secretaries Association and has dealt with many potentially controversial applications as well as conversions and variations from the old to the new licensing regime.
